That sounds cool. I dont have any thing to sell but I will go to buy and assist in other ways that I can. will you require AMA for the fun fly? I'm not AMA and don't plan to join any time soon.

Omega,
We do require AMA as it allows us to protect our flying sight through AMA insurance. Without it we would be up $hit creek should something happen. Just out of curiosity, why will you never join AMA? drbird, Thanks for the interest but will let my club host the swap meet since we have the lot space and the tables to do so. If you would like to come out and sell your products, you are more than welcome. I will get with the members and see what kind of fees/donations we will be looking at for table space. Let me know who is interested so I can get an idea of turn out... |

I never said never I just said any time soon. Right now I'd rather spend that money on gear. Seeing as how I'm poor most of the time. And since I don't plan on impaleing some one with my stick I don't feel it that necassry at the moment. Thanks for the offer though.

Omega,
I totally understand. When I started out I thought I didn't need AMA either but when I started flying planes that could do some serious damage should they go out of control I decided the extra coverage the AMA offered was necessary. I hope you decide to join the AMA before moving on to larger and faster planes than your stick. The magazine subscription alone was enough for me to join even though they go into too much detail on subjects not related to R/C... I think they are trying though as I hear this months issue is on electric flight. I wonder how much will be for C/L and F/F... I think you will also find that most if not all clubs will require you have an AMA license... |

What you say is true. I tought if ever I were to join It wold be for the insurance. I don't plan on flying any thing bigger than anything power by a 370 motor maybe even 400 but I like to keep my birds small. limited house and car space. I figure maybe somday I will join but like I said no time soon.

How about we start one....
Jeffrey,
I think there would be interest for a swap meet for R/C, particularly gear for electrics. I'm not much of one for selling stuff online, and only buy online from hobby shops (up to this point at least), so having a swap meet where you can see and touch the stuff would be great. I think 6 hours might be too long. How about 4 hours for the swap meet and 6 hours for flying? |
