sweet - what a masterpiece....well done - hmm I'm no good with pushers but would assume a geared 400 / 480 brushless setup would make her scream....

I would say maybe a mega 3 turn and 8.4 volts.

Hi, very beautiful work

Personnaly from my experience with my depron mig-29 of 840g i would recommend a Mega 16/15/5 with a APC 7x5 (large blades) and 3s lipo. Under that config my mig has a T/W ratio of 0.8 and draw 16A and fly very well and fast. I tried a 16/15/3 which drew 31A with a cam pro 4.7x4.7 and 37A with a 5.2x5.2. I never was thinking to try in that config and waited for receiving the 16/15/5. I also tried the 16/15/4 and got a ratio of 1.1 with 3s and the APC 7x5-large blade but drawing 29A (I didn't try flying under that config, only static record on scale and wattmeter) which drop down to 23A with an APC 7x5 narrow blade and conserve a ratio of 0.8. With that latter config the autonomy is shortened, the hand "take-off" as much easy as with the 16/15/5 APC 7x5 large blade but the speed is a little quicker. My mig is 67cm wing span smaller than your 120cm max wingspan for that reason i really recommend you the 16/15/5 rather the 16/15/3 and maybe you can consider 4s instead 3s lipo, it is only speculation because I never tried 4s lipo. For sure with the 16/15/5 and 3s lipo and a 7x5 APC large blades she will fly great with a reasonable consumption therefore duration of flight. My 3s is a Poly-Quest 3100 slim (220g) which can deliver 37A (12C).

Good flight

Thanks , I just got a 380 brushless motor(look like mega, but made in Taiwan) with 1800kv,
when using 7x4 APC propeller draw about 12A, can provide about 650g pushed force,
I hope can use that, I will try 8x4 tomorrow, hopefully, if it draw below 16A, it provide more power(>700g)!!

Dear Flighttosky,

It seems the motor you find is similar in spec as the mega 16/15/5. On the other hand I tried myself a prop greater than 7x5 with no more thrust, but it is true for the mega. I even got less thrust you will see. In fact less thrust with a larger prop of the same pitch will not means more speed for a lower static thrust as it is the case when you lower the diameter but keep high the prop pitch and coming close to the square prop ie the pitch equal the diameter. I am curious of your data assay. I would advise you rather the 8x4 to use a 7x5 APC large blade as it is very efficient in fact.
