The safe bet would be to send both back. A lot cheaper than potentially losing an airplane and maybe causing an injury,

I would agree ...... and agree with Jim too regarding never seen an LED go bad.....

I guess there is a first for everything but my gut feeling is that there's something going on beyond that......

One thing that was not suggested to the OP is to try the module in another radio to see if the led comes on.

Try your “defective “ module in a DIFFERENT radio to see what happens....

Wait - on you referring to the transmit LED on the Futaba radio itself? Are you looking at the LED on the XtremeLink transmitter module?

Module received. LED was fine. However, I think you must have had a fit of rage and threw your transmitter, because the small 2 resistor pack for the LED was knocked about 60 degrees off center. The solder joints (4 of them, 2 at each end of the part) were actually broken. I am guessing this would have had to have been a solder issue during production or something. Easy fix, just straightened it out and resoldered both sides. It will go back to you on Monday.

That’s great service , Jim .....

@Vapor52, did you ever drop the transmitter or the module? It would take some considerable force to do this.
