Pete, I feel you pain. For years I've taped a straight edge to the wing and used a cutoff wheel by hand to grind thru skins. Lately I've been using an oscillating multi tool with carbide blade. Easy to control and still cut thru or score thick skins. Study this video Sanduku posted. I had to watch it many times to see all his tools and fixtures. Love the vacuum hold down and fine adjustments of cutter. Larrikin has a similar machine that he has posted up as well. Interested to see your final solution

Well got the servos in it's not too pretty but I think it'll fly ..

Oops a bit too much pressure on the top half on that last pic showing the fiberglass lath is just showing on the mold to thin on the surface coat I didn't wait long enough for the surface coat to set up before I set some lath on there and then poured the epoxy ath

Still need to Put in the elevator servo and balance it.
It will fly at Slope fest at Cape Blanco this year ...
