I bought two of these, but for me range is quite poor. Got a failsafe at approx. 250m.
Anyone else had a chance to test them out?

It's look like you have the same problem like me. Maybe 200m and failsafe when rssi show 40%. Once even had one about 70m from me and rssi again 40%. You have any solution for that ?

I have soldered on new antennas, but haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Tested with new antennas and another placement. Got maybe 300m or so with rssi around 30 when it suddenly failsafed again.

Will most likely move to 900mhz instead, tired of failsafes.

I have the same range issues. I'm getting failsafes between 30 and 40 RSSI at much shorter distances than I would expect. I would expect a "full range" receiver to have greater range than my 5.8ghz video. The fli14+ seems to have significantly worse range than the ia6b.

Is anyone pleased with their range and having a different experience? Feels like I just wasted my money. RSSI and a small form factor means nothing if I can't fly out of my shadow.

Was all happy with RSSI but same issue here on the fli14+. Faislafe @ 80 meters with RSSI showing 40.

Will also try some new antennas and post back

I tried different length of active part of antenna and still poor range. But i found this yesterday.
RSSI Firmware mod for FlySky IA6B and X6B.
Custom firmware for receivers with rssi. Just now order ia6b and st-link v2 for upgrade firmware on receiver. Should get it tomorrow. Will post how this end up when test it

Just test ia6b receiver with moded firmware and its work perfect. I fly 1 mile with rssi about 60. I had one failsafe something about 0.7 mile from me but rssi drop to zero and up to 70 in maybe 2 seconds but i didn't lost control. For now looks promising.

Wow very cool.
I have flown with a lot with ia6b, its the receiver that has worked best for me.
Got about 500m (0.3mi) with it, but then my transmitter started warning about rssi.

I think I fly in a challenging environment.

So the Fli(t) receiver that is supposed to bring FlySky on par with other small receivers seems to fail to deliver on one of it's key performance features, range? I was just thinking of getting one to try.
