It is when they make them with heavy, servoless retracts, heavier batteries than necessary, etc. Not even close to impossible if built properly. I've built more EDFs with small, low power fans than almost anyone on these boards. Just imagine what a 40mm fan with 150W would have done in my Comet. It flew on 55W with a tiny 40mm EDF, and far less than ideal EDF ducting. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...39&postcount=1

The latest did pretty well with GP fans with 10mm inrunners. Barely used full power. Nacelles close to scale. Just a few of the many.

Since I was the first to reply and you took my advice on size, can I get a preorder slot now that you have announced this beast?

Need a beta user?

I'm with ya on that one, Big John. I've been trying to get some/any info on this project and all I've got on it is: It's taking longer than expected to produce and something might be surfacing, sometime in February.....We'll See !

Info was about as credible as it gets nowadays: Personal Phone call with "Well known" Rep. from B.H. & "Online Chat" with personnel from HSDGo. We'll see what happens...?

Well, as usual, The "INTERNET" lied to me again.....LOL. I NO longer have any clue as to what or when HSD is going to release NEW models. They DO have a lot of F-16's and Super Vipers ready to ship though. B-747 ? T-33 ? F-86 ? F-4 ? Chirp...Chirp...Chirp.....

OK....Now we're making some progress ! Looks Good, Sounds Good. I like the fact that the Main Gear Set has been scaled after the actual 4 strut configuration. I didn't notice any "Flaps" on this Big Boy or maybe they were just not used in this video ?

I love it!

Just seen the video and they seem to have captured the outline perfectly and it looks very scale in the air.

Bit of a shame though as for me because of its size, it is too big, flies too fast to be scale like, would need a disused airfield to fly it and i would need a van to transport it!

Will keep an eye out in the near future for updates.
