Any sites with photos of the ME 109?

I did a web search on this but came up almost empty. I'm looking for photos to re paint the Scorpio ME 109 ARF. I have in mind the Grey and black kinda speckeled look with a yellow nose. I only have one photo to work with so far. All help will be appreciated,---Rob

You need to be searching for Bf109 rather than Me109 I suspect. A google search for Bf109 turned up about 6,000 hits with a lot of photographs and different camouflage schemes.

Is this the sort of scheme you are talking about (it's a stand way off semi-scale IC funfighter)?

That is a late Battle of Britain Scheme with the yellow nose and mottled upper surfaces.

If you can't find what you are looking for on google get back to us and I'll look out some paper references. Does your Bf109 have square or rounded wingtips BTW??

You could try a search on Adolf Galland and his aircraft.

Hi Mike

Yup - that's the one- my Fun Fighter in the picture above is based on Dolpho Galland's Bf109E from September 1940.

I probably still have the graphics for that as a digital file somewhere (though it's two computers ago and might take some finding). I'lll have a look, but I know I drew up a Corel file at the time of all of the staffel crests, personal markings and stencils and hand painted some home made waterslides over the top of them. Tha'll understand this were in t'days afore them fancy inkjet printers when we 'ad fort lick t'road clean wit t' tongue afore goin' off t' dance classes

Hello Rob,
here is a little picture enclosed.
Is is from an air show, which is every two years in Germany (Oldtimer Meeting at Airport Hahnweide). 1999, they had a ME-109.

Right after I posted this, I was reading through the manuel and did discover what i was searching for was indeed a Bf 109. The wingtips are kind of squarish looking, but are rounded at the very tips. Yes this is the one on the Hobby lobby site. I like the quality of the kit, except for the paint scheme. Thanks for all the help guys.

Please bear with me, I'm new to the scale thing---Rob
