Best 3 radios numbered 3-1

Hi guys,

here is the the question that many people (including myself) always wanted to know the answer for it!

if you been asked to give 3 best of the best radios $$ not matter, what you think these 3 radios are??? from #3 ? -#2? -#1?

and why??? and what you use in your hobby?

I am going to post the same thread to the airplanes guys and comparing the opinions if there is any!

thank you

3: Futuba T14SG, a good solid radio with lots of features and solid feel.
2: Hitec Aurora 9x: excellent value, extremely easy to use and program, lots of features and also a good feel.
1: Jeti DS14, expensive but highly advanced and well built radio.

Loads of other good radios like the Taranis, the new colour screen Spektrum thing you can play Angry Birds on and other useless features that your phone does..

If ‘cost is no object’ then something like the new JETI DS24 should be on the list

I'm using old tech mainly because it still works and I haven't had any need to upgrade. So that's a Futaba 8J and DX8 (the old OG one). Futaba gets my vote between the two for plain subjective reasons that it feels better. Spekky has a better UI.

I used Futaba for almost 2 decades in dozens of surface vehicles.
(Mostly mid to low end models.)
I don't remember ever having a TX fail.

Airtronics always seemed to be at least as good, if not better.

Getting off track, sorry.

Are any of them still in business? I know that Kraft has been gone for well over 30 years.

Nope but that was not on the OP's condition.

For me the "best" radio is simply the one that works.

Those were the big names in RC systems manufacturing back in the late 60's early 70's.

Here is a Kraft TX for those who have never heard of them.

This is one old RC Helicopter (1 min 55 sec)

Works of art if you ask me.

...and some people think modern TX's are difficult to set up.
