A Sneak Preview: GWS C-130 and C-160

Some photos of GWS Cargotrans pre-production kits (Quad/C-130 and Twin/C-160):

The contents of the boxes looks great. There are few small details I specially like a lot. Pushrod connectors and edp-50 prop adapters (photo #10) and the wheels. Both Cargotrans versions share the same fuselage and wing. The only difference is the size and number of the motors and nacelles. The structure is very simple and the building process will be very easy and straightforward.

Based on the experience from my scratch-built depron Hercules (http://www.careliawin.com/tyson/RCHercules.htm), I predict that GWS Cargotrans will be a rock steady flyer in calm and light-wind conditions. We'll see that in the near future. I've got an idea about a video: GWS C-130 and C-160 flying together in formation with my old Hercules at snowy Finnish winter scenery.

Some progress. Weight is 300g without servos, esc, receiver and battery. AUW with 2s ETec 1200HP pack will be about 410 to 420g.

Well, darn it! Now I have to get Another box to stack over in the corner of my garage until I can build it.

Love the C-130...Many, Many options to paint it!

Thats just way too cool.
I have one on order with the LHS. Can't wait to get it.

Fantastic job on your depron planes. You really are very talented.
