I ran into a problem - I tried to save a model to my computer I downloaded the software for the Pl 18 from your site and when I plug the transmitter in it searched for drivers and completed and then nothing The software opens but doesn’t recognize the transmitter ??? Am I forgetting something here I had no issues when I would hook up my old FS-i10 but the computer doesn’t seem to recognize the PL-18 with or without software open so what do I need to do here has anyone been successful saving or as they call it exporting a plane set up to a computer ?? I went to the app (models) selected export model and a message say to hook up to a computer with the usb cord .....which it is hooked up it starts to charge but I can’t export models ?!?!

One thread should be enough...

Hi all,

Can I ask to continue all discussion on my (to be...) favorite TX here :

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...3-Paladin-PL18

It would be nice if we only had one thread to follow, to find all solutions to eventual problems and answers to most questions...

Yes, that's right. A lot of anodised metal in this transmitter. Heavy.

I saw someone mentioned 1,8kg so I thought better to have correct weight.

I am liking this radio more and more...

The correct weight is 946g plus or minus. 1.8Kg is probably the weight of the total transmitter package, but anyway it is wrong weight.

I also saw/heard somewhere mentioning that it has both directional AND omni-directional antennas, thats why it gets the long range of almost 10km....that flat front above thehandle must be the directional antenna?

Looking at the video it seems like it has about 15 linear mixes...

Info from Flysky about the package contents:
"...there are 2 AFHDS3 receivers(FTr10 and FTr16s) in the pl18 package. 2 other receivers(FTr4 and FTr8) are optional.

Info from Flysky about the support of the AFHDS 2A and other receivers/modules:
"...AFHDS 2A receivers will be supported in the subsequent firmware. pl18 support TBS CrossingFire and FRM301,FRM302. it will support other ppm RF modules in the subsequent firmware, too."
...these are the AFHDS 2A receivers that pl18 will support in the future: iA10B, iA10, iA6B, iA6, iA4B, iA4C, BS4, A6, A3 and X6B."

Ok, so getting closer to a decision to buy or not to buy...

Can someone pls comment on how the Tx feels to hold, compared fx to a Jumper T16 or Futaba SG14 which are rather round and nice to hold?

I also have a Flysky i6X but I think its too small and "squareish"...
I dont have big hands but about size 8-9 (for gloves) so rather smallish...

I actually bought a Frsky X10S but found it to be too big and "squareish", not nice at all to hold....sold it after a week....

How does the PL18 feel with the round, extra side grips?

Is it easy to reach all the switches etc?
