GPS mounting?

I have an Eagle Tree Vector in my Penguin. It is located on a plate over the big round hole at bottom of the fuselage, below the wing. Its GPS is hot glued to fuselage top, just back of the prop, as its cable will not reach further.

The system initializes ok and finds satellites. Then, after awhile or while flying, the message shows up sometimes that it has lost its home position. Anyone else seen this? If so, what did you conclude, and what did you do?
