Hello All,

I was always curious to test how soon my motor get heated up and how fast I can discharge my Lipo to 3.8V at full throttle.

• Ran continuous for 10 minutes at full throttle up and down using 4wd buggy - battery reached 7.97V and temperature of motor to 153F.
• Rested for 10 minutes and temperature cooled down to 125F.
• Ran continuous for 5 minutes at full throttle up and down using 4wd buggy - battery reached 7.75V and temperature of motor to 152F.
• Ran continuous for 5 minutes at full throttle up and down using 4wd truggy - battery reached 7.60V and temperature of motor to 144F.
• So it took 20 minutes for the Lipo to reach LVC. (I consider 3.8V per cell as my LVC)

Equipment

• Lipo - Gens ace 5300mAh 7.4V 65C 2S1P . This battery had been gone through 35 runs (yes, I keep logs)
• Motor - Hobbywing Ezrun Victory 8.5t 4000KV (4wd truggy) and Leopard LBG3650 6.5T 4750KV (4wd buggy)
• ESC - Hobbywing EZRUN 60A SL
• Servo - Towepro MG995 (4wd truggy) and Blue Bird BMS-616MG+HS (4wd buggy)
• Gearing - 64/17 (4wd truggy) and 77/20 (4wd buggy)
• Terrain - Tarred road (slope)
• Cars - Both truggy ad buggy are 1/10 scale from ZD Racing

everything you posted sounds perfectly normal

there are many variables which can change results such as gearing, tire/wheel rollout, weight, etc...

it's a good idea to regularly check temps as a way to know the health of your car

Battery < 120F
ESC < 140F
Motor < 160F

as temps go up, it's a good indicator that something is wrong... binding in the drive train, etc...

Always a good idea to rebuild your car, clean inspect your bearings once every 20-25 battery cycles.
