Tori EP Sailplane: Raw Performance (1 min 52 sec)

I caught wind of this on other thread. It has a fiberglass pod, carbon boom, and built-up wings and tail. The wing loading looks reasonable, and the included power system in the Rx-R seems pretty quality for the price point: $230. There is an airframe-only ARF for $160 as well. Good deal?

Looks like the Fling 2m with EP and Ailerons added.

Unlike the not so lamented Fling DLG, the 2m was always a solid ship.

This could make a nice step up from a Radian2m, and should be a little hotter with a .10 sized motor in a ~30oz ship (vs the Radian's already quick climbing 480 setup)

I saw the video on YouTube yesterday and loved the looks of it, have been trying to find out what I could about it and finally saw it on Towers web site late last night.

Will have to get this. Love it.

Instructions say to glue the two wing halves together. Wonder if that is really necessary. I electrified an old Great Planes Spirit Elite ARF and its wings come apart for storage/transport. A GREAT feature for being able to leave it in my car and fly anytime. The Tori has the same style dual leading edge pins and trailing edge screws. Without any sort of root reinforcement (glass/carbon) I would think gluing the root ribs together doesn't really provide much strength. Though that wing joiner looks quite short in comparison. If the wings do indeed have to be joined, will probably stick w/ the Elite ARF. Have several one-piece wing 2m e-gliders already.

Gluing the wings together is not an option for me either. I only have 65 inches of length in my car. So, a two piece wing is a must for me.
