Has anybody flown the 90mm plane without the tip tanks?

My Composite 1/10 scale 104 without wing tanks on first flight flew very well, but it did go into the flat spin I guess 104s' are prone to.

I installed the wing tanks on my second flight. I would conclude that I would far prefer to fly with the wing tanks due to the tanks adding stability and lift.

Note that I have not yet installed my bottom dorsal fin yet. That will probably help even more.

I don't know how to embed videos or I would put the two vids I have on youtube of the flight.

Search youtube for SCALECRAFT 104 and Steve's F 104 first Oops. for flight test with and with out tanks. When I say "its easier to fly than the other one," I mean the one without the tanks. Same plane.

not to mention the enhanced visual acuity that the tanks add.
