The Cirrus MJ C3 is 1/4" x 1/4" x 1" and under 3 grams. The Falcons are not enclosed, but weigh only 1.7 grams.

Protech Nuke airborne system

Also sold by Graupner under a different name. Servo's weight 2.1 grams. You can get either the airborne set:

* 2x 2.1gram servos
* 5A electronic speed controller
* 2 x servo extension leads
* 1 x 'Y' lead
* 4ch FM receiver. This is a sub micro tri-band rx 35-41Mhz for the smallest indoor and park flyers. Suitable with any radio brand. Only micro crystals can be fitted.

Servo's can alos be bought separately and there seems to be an adapter to connect them to a 'normal' receiver.

Check out the Skyhooks and Rigging web site. They still have the smallest commercially available servo I know of. Cirrus also has something that looks a lot like what you see in Arthur P.'s post. I get mine at Hobby People web site.

Arthur,

Those parts in your picture look exactly like the Cirrus system - the servos, RX and ESC with the same connectors... The servos (I just weighed one) are 2.7 grams w/o connector, and 2.85 grams with connector. I don't think the 2.1 grams weight listed in the ad you got that data from is correct. I prefer to trust my scales weights more than an advertisement...

Look here for the Hobby People MJ listing and see if you can find any differences... http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/443413.asp

I have found that weights tend to be a little optimistic from the manufacturer as well. I've access to a precision lab scale that goes 4 places right of decimal -grams. W-060 "6 gram" Waypoint servo actually weighs 6.52 grams, so I had to add 1.56 grams to my calculations, for 3 servos. Not a big deal, but different. Maybe they weigh them without connectors. I got them from www.lightflightrc.com, good service has been my experience. They threw in a free prop saver, too.
