Average income & Value by State

An interesting comparison...

"A few notes: Household income doesn’t count non-cash benefits and doesn’t account for property or personal income taxes, other deductions, or Social Security—so it’s not the same as take-home pay. The cost of living and average income can also vary considerably within a state, so your state’s real salary may not reflect what workers in a specific city earn or pay to live."

Pretty much any statistic compiled at a state level is meaningless.

Crime, wealth, costs... all are very local.

like the agents say - location location location!

Looks oddly similar to the maps that show levels of education, religiosity, infant mortality, and political affiliations.

I note the person who did the colouring-in felt compelled to invert the customary legend and use blue for "lowest pay", red for "highest pay", otherwise it would look too obvious.

How did Utah and North Dakota sneak into the red band? Soros or Gates must have been visiting.
