Thanks Owen will be looking into setting up a cutter as soon as we resettle ,just need a big workshop to setup my machine shop

So far Starting at the nose, the size was actually a bit disapoining. Once working on the neck and centre secion the scale started to be come apparent Once together it was obvious why the frame is so much heavier than the 320

Have you done CAD at work Steve? This might also be intersting to you. A more traditional build using solidworks. It should be much the same if you want to use the free Fusion 360.

I remember I have Sketchup on a laptop at home may play around with the import function for a little practice ,have not used it for a loooong time, if nothing else it will give me something to do while waiting to sell this damn house

Thats why I dont use sketchup I remember now ,no import available on the free version

I thought they screwed you on the export. I guess it's both ways

I think Fusion 360 is the way to go Steve. Free for hobbiest use. It is s a parametric modeler like CATIA. Speaking of CATIA http://www.cadalyst.com/cad/product-...bus-a380-10903

Yes I knew about the 4 to 5 read problem ,it wasn't just Airbus it was Boeing as well on the 787

Michael V told me to check out Fusion 360 recently. I've been playing with it for a couple of weeks. I'm a total noob to 3D cad, but it seems to be pretty intuitive and lots of people using it, so easy to find answers by googling.

Awesome work, Owen! Wish I had you cad skills.
