I wonder how they solved the current draw problem of the modules of this type with two receiver. I'm sure they will make it fully compatible with Fatshark goggles. It looks like it will use a technique similiar to the Clearview module, basically an analog signal which is digitally enchanced.

Yea the way iftron solved it with the clearview receiver is by using the head tracker connector as well as the module bay.

And yea from the rumours and flames from IRC this is meant to be better than the clearview.

If its digital or analogue enhanced I leave unsaid. But they would need some real grunt to enhance the video signal in close to real time. Iftron also hold a handful of analogue electronics patents.

Sorry for the OCD but i really wish decent design engineers would get to grips with unbiased render engines for concept show. Quite amateur in a predominantly enthusiast's hobby.

For me this is Analog HD video.

Just say bye to your current cameras and vtx, because analog HD uses more bandwidth and new gear will be necessary to use it at best quality

We will soon learn more, but I highly doubt this is analog HD.

The name "rapidFIRE" implies to me that is not combining the images. The name sounds like it is just switching between the two receivers as quickly as possible without checking RSSI. I might be reading into it.

Last information about it is that they use something similar to clearview and mix both sources for a cleaner signal.

I'm in the market for a new module. I've spent ALOT of time deciding between LF v4 and CV.
I really like what CV is suppose to be doing and want it badly, but I cannot pay that much. I simply can't. I have a little experience in electronics and I can guarantee, you pay for the new technology (duh), which is fine, but damn... this is just too much.

So finally this morning I said I'll never buy something this way, so decided on the LF v4, but took another Google search, just to be sure, and this came up...
I guess it's better than ordering and than finding this topic.

"$250 is expected. Possibly much less."
Comooooon... Give me a break already.

readymaderc listed them on 13 Feb, and quadlab.io preorder was available on 17 March.
I feel a vein at the back of my head is ready to pop.
