Grumman Albatross Flaps?

I noticed in the Aspach 2000 pt 1 report that Christian Ramoser's albatross has flaps. I'll bet thats why he can take off the water at half throttle. Well, that and those cool props! Anyone done this to this plane. I am just about to start building mine, but would really like some help in adding the flaps (size, etc.). Any other tips or suggestions on building this plane would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jedd,

I am also building this model. I have been asking questions too. Please see the links below for some good info.

I have made the wing tips from balsa blocks since I did not like the fit of the ABS ones.
Also, I am using golden rods rather than the ones in the kit. I can not help you with flaps.

Why not ask Christian about how he did his flaps? Email me privately and I will give you his address.

Those totally cool props are available from EAM, a company whose URL you can find in the list of advertisers on Ezoneman. I was taken to heaven when I assembled, then flew and tweaked my Albatros, with the 3-blade VarioProps. So now I have a 3-bladers coming for my X-250!

I received the dimensions for the flaps from Christian Ramoser. Here's some pics of how it's coming along. The flaps are 32mm x 315mm with 40mm between aileron and flap. I also received two three blade varioPROPS today. These things are VERY COOL! The best quality electric prop I've ever seen.
