Solid State Battery

This glass electrode Battery that has been patented not long ago , by Goodenough

Its discharge looks like between 2.68 and 2.34 , then it takes a steep drop

Not high volts ,but I guess that is not a problem

I guess for us its
how heavy is it ,
is it a small cell we can use ,
and is it cheap

I think it's in that thread of new earth shattering batteries that will never be heard of again.

Most new battery technology works ... But has other issues. Some require interesting quantities of expensive materials to make (making them costly), or manufacturing processes that don't scale well (making them expensive), or have limitations on where/how they can be used (temperature range, discharge rate, charge rate limitations making them impractical), etc ....

Definitely still worth researching and experimenting though. We wouldn't have what we have if someone hadn't tried this particular combination.
