2 servos 1 power feed..?

I'm just about to start building Ava pro 4m glider in which the rudder and elevator servos are housed in the vertical stabiliser. My question is this.. To save weight is it possible to run both those servos off just 1 pos. and 1 neg. + 2 signal, if so is there a downside ?

Thx Chris

Yep totally, same way to wire up the wing servos on top drive f3k models. , 1 positive, 1 ground and then a signal line to each servo.

Thx Mark

How does the wiring work, do you join the 2 positives and grounds together as they leave the rx then re-engineer the join at the other end ?

You can join the wires any where it is convenient. in a glider it is typically at the wing connections. If you look inside a RX you will see that all of the + connections are tied together. The - are the same. These are sometimes referred to as a power bus. It is only the signal wires that are unique. For long runs you may want to increase the size of the wires for less voltage drop.

I think I'll keep the original heavier gauge wire for the -/+ and replace the signal wires with the lighter gauge I have, still a weight saving over a 1.5m
Thx guys.. back to the build

From the wing to the rx is just the 4 leads, from wing to the servos is then the normal 3 leads to each servo.
