Yes I think I did them backwards but I’m hoping it will still help shed water out and away.

My father had a Sealane built per plans, no chines. Prop spray was never a problem. It got up and off the water very cleanly. Had a TT Pro .46 I believe. It flew great but wasn't a floater, so I'd be careful about adding any extra weight.

Fiberglassing the bottom of the fuse. Using oil based Minwax poly so far so good. I also added first coat on the inside of the fuse for water protection

Out of curiosity, why did you choose oil based vs water based poly? What kind of drying time does yours need?

3-4 hours dry between coats. i always feel like oil is a bit more durable. probably just my experience with a wife who is a decorative artist and always uses oil based products. just personal preference i guess.

Are you planning to glass the whole fuse? I was considering that on my build but I don't know how well the glass/paint would hold up over the holes on the rear of the fuse. I haven't worked on my kit for awhile. The chines you did look pretty good! -Colby

Thanks. I’m just glassing the bottom fuse. Ultra oat over most everything else. Electronics soaked in corrosion X. Should be a fun plane for snow and wet grass too..
