Do a search on Sheffield Insulation....

Travis Perkins stock it but you need to pay something like 57 or so for a pack and they wont split it.....

Chippie - Do you know if the TP stores stock it as I have several near me and could just pick some up there (otherwise getting it delivered is too expensive). What do they call it?

Josh....
The stuff you want is IB styrofoam...it's called something different now....but any Sheffield Insulations Depot will know what you mean by IB....be carfull some places you have to buy it in packs (3 boards) they also stock 25mm 50 and 75mm they did 100mm but this is harder to get..... smaller quantities can be brought from the 4D model shop in london....if you know where that is?

Travis Perkins will not split a pack, 16 sheets for 57

Hope this helps....

Thanks Chippie

I will give Sheffield a call some time, not sure if there are any local but it may be ok to get it sent.
What are the sheet sizes for the Travis Perkins stuff, perhaps someone would be willing to split a pack?

I guess that 57 is pretty good value for money if I could actually do somthing with all those sheets!

Good point Chippie. Think it could be overcome if
enough people are interested and available at the
right time. Organization might be the problem.

Any insulation supplier will sell you blue foam, as will most builders merchants of quality.

I find the pack worth getting but, last tme I was at the insulation suplly place, they had a lot of scrap bits that had go smashed up ...worth wandering round. The company I got mine from is Encon. I think they are a national rather than local company. Cheaper rhan Travis Perkins.

My local builders mercahnt will sell me single sheets.

A look in yellow pages under 'insulation materials' may net you your best local bet.

Blue foam is high density foam for insulating under concrete floors. Another manufacturer makes it in pink. One is Cornell IIRC. Cannot remember the other. They are equivalent.

Hey flight - if you ever wanted to get some and split it let me know - I'm jsut down the road in Stratford upon Avon.
I know there's a sheffield insulation depot in Brum, so it's not too far away.
Cheers,
Andy.

Andy, if vintage has it right then there are all those builders merchants on
the road out to Evesham that might be worth looking at.
