Nor Cal 60" Man On Man Race Series 2018

Here is the general announcement for Northern California Slope Soarers's 60" MoM race series.

I was convinced to run 6 races this season! Same format as last year. (open class, 60" max wingspan). Race venue is the SLoT.

$5 race fee for NCSS members, $10 for Non-NCSS members, first timers free. Awards for the three highest placed pilots at the end of the season.

I hope we get some better fortune with the wind this year. Here are the event dates (no back up dates):

March 4
April 1
June 10
July 1
September 2
October 7

Series points will be tallied by:

Best 1 race, of 1 race
Best 2 of 2
Best 2 of 3
Best 3 of 4
Best 4 of 5
Best 4 of 6

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Scott

I'm a tentative yes!!! Tentative because i won't in-advance-know my weekend schedules until the day before, on the 3rd...but it may just line up to be able to attend "lots" this year.

I have a new favorite 60"-er, a homebrew Jart with a MH42 airfoil. It is fast and really bangs turns easily! The FrankenRacer is indeed fast, but turns much, much more wide due to it's super thin wing.
Now....does anyone have any tricks to reduce adhrenaline during a heat? I got the crazy shakes during my only race ever, last season.

Due to expected lack of wind, and lack of interest, this one is cancelled.

Sorry the race has to be cancelled. I have the time off for the next race April 1st. Put me down for attending. I wil bring my Renegade and another Mini NYX. This time I have the tail bonded to fuse.

Anybody have an extra 60" racer they want to sell that would be Slot worthy? I've only flown there twice and I think I want flaps! I have a Blejzyk, but it is a light build with no flaps or ballast capability. PM me. Thanks!

Bill
