FreeBee maiden .. she was a bit frisky for the first minute or so until I got her trimmed out and dropped to low rates .. and .. it was a little windy

Have done a flat bottom wing plan if anyone wants this rather than the undercambered airfoil (centre section) .. both are at post #2

Lockey

FreeBee Maiden (6 min 10 sec)

The little SE-5 flies so damn nice

SE 5 again (6 min 51 sec)

For an Old timer looking , Under Cambered Wing ,
it appears that your FreeBee is a Quick little hand full !

Although you eventually gt it trimmed out and tamed down ;>}

I fly my SLowly so slowly that I can
PRETEND it's a U-Control plane and not get dizzy while doing so.

BTW did you get those plans that I sent ?

The SE5 is marvellous!

I've decided to build the FreeBee. I have the SkyCar to fly and my ill advised Christmas present, the balsa model to build (so far my snapping bits to gluing whole bits in place ratio is roughly 2-1). I'm also building a prototype from scrap depron of a model I made in Sketchup I picked it because it was easy to draw. It's supposed to be a Jodel D9 Bebe

A crappy phone picture of my limited progress, and a couple of the plane I'm trying to make. Just FreeBee pictures from now on though

Yes I do need to do some flying, should be a bit easier now it's still light when I finish work

Bit more FreeBee fun this evening, just the wing tips and formers and sides done. Just a quick heads up, F3 needs to have the top 25mm lopped off on the 'flat bottomed wing' version.

Thanks for the heads up on that Adam .. I thought I had done it already ... BUT .. as you can see from the enclosed pic, I changed it on the wrong one

I have an EPP kit version of this plane. Make one out of EPP and put some lights in it! Fantastic, slow night flier!

Well if you like those early DE Trainers et al
I always was an admirer of the Klems.

I had one with a 40 4 stroke motor back in the late 80's

Nice little plane Squall, I am sure the lights would show through the Depron too

I think the pic makes it look much longer than it actually is Bob, the huge wing takes up most of the fuselage .. methinks the wing is a bit tooooo big really oh well
