Shark Scales are Votex Generators
Here is an interesting article showing how shark scales generate lift and perhaps this could be used in designing wing skins to generate more lift.
It would be an interesting project to 3d print a cross section mold of these vortex generators and use that to mold a foam flying wing to see how well it performs. https://www.rdmag.com/news/2018/02/u...-wind-turbines |
