That thing would be terrifying to drive even at 15mph. Especially when even their site has to warn that it's CG is really high.

But holy crap it looks cool. If someone put a gun to my head and told me I had to buy a 1/14th scale semi, it'd be this one.

Good stuff, this is all new to me, I don't really watch any motor sports on tv so this is the first time I've seen this event, takes on a whole new meaning to what a T4.1 is, and it's nothing to do with Associated, ha! I also picked up a new term (for me), never heard of homologated before, thanks for the lesson!

Never heard of the Dakar rally ! Over in Europe everybody has head of it , it used to be the Paris Dakar rally , the really mad guys are the motor bike riders ! They often get serious if not fatal injury's .

Really never heard of it? It's only the biggest worldwide off road event of the year..... It used to be Paris-Dakar rally, then it changed to Dakar only as it would not start in Paris anymore... and then for safety reasons it moved to South America, but carried the DAKAR RALLY name...

I'm always amazed at how well those Dakar trucks do in races. To me it seems like it would be like trying to somehow race competitively in a glorified U-Haul but they seem to beat out "proper" race vehicles like trophy trucks, rally cars, dune buggies.

This is probably the coolest scale RC truck model to look at I've ever seen. Racingnthese would be awesome...all you have to do to win is not roll it!

Yep, plus they are have actually been speed restricted!!
They used to fly past the cars and bike like they were standing still on the wide open parts. But have been restricted so they are only about 20% faster than the cars now.
