About those bonuses

https://thinkprogress.org/just-two-p...-c9943098bc0d/

"Only two percent of U.S. adults say they received a bonus or wage raise as a result of the Republican tax legislation passed in December, according to a Reuters-Ipsos poll released Monday."

"The bonuses these corporations and big banks have planned are, in many cases, pre-planned, and only a drop in the bucket compared to the total overall cost of the corporate tax cut. A ThinkProgress analysis of the over 50 businesses planning to award non-executive employees with a “tax bill bonus” found that a mere .01 percent of the trillion dollar corporate tax cut will be spent on employee bonuses."

Yet, the left should not give a because it's "all crumbs. . . " anyway. . . right? Yet sites such as Thinkprogess has no self awareness on how much of a fool they make themselves appear by pushing the wackiness.

They have absolutely no idea which end is up anymore. Their arguments and statements are confused and convoluted nonsense that is folding in on itself.

Bonuses and pay increases SUCK!!!! It's horrible that companies would give them.

Of course it's only been a month so I'm actually impressed that many people have already gotten raises and bonuses.

Winning!

Man. Now Exxon has announced a $35 billion dollar investment in the US because of the tax law. I feel bad for all of those people getting new jobs.

But all the welfare workers will loose their jobs once people have jobs. Dems aren't liking that at all. No wonder they are loosing control lately.

Considering how many workers AND military qualify for it, not likely.

Employees getting bonus: 80% of workforce
"Only two percent of U.S. adults say they received a bonus or wage raise as a result of the Republican tax legislation passed in December, according to a Reuters-Ipsos poll released Monday."

"“There’s no way this was just done as a result of the tax bill getting passed. I’m glad they are doing it, but the market for talent is tightening. We’ve been seeing a bit of wage demand across the board at all levels of banking, and I can’t imagine we’re the only bank,” said Keith Mestrich, president and CEO of Amalgamated Bank to CNBC. Amalgamated Bank raised their minimum wage to $15 in 2015."

Notice how the leftist media used "US adult" to arrive at the 2% number. A better and larger number would be "adults working for public companies".

Wonder why they used the lower number...hmmmm.

I bet there were no bonuses at thinkprogress.

Odd that anyone would criticize bonuses. Maybe they just like the no-bonus Obama era.

2% in less than a month is very good. It's only getting better.

Also realize 2% of Americans getting pay raises or bonuses translates to 5% of workers since over half of Americans aren't in the work force. 5% in just a few weeks for a voluntary benefit is very good.
