Since I have BD200, I charge and discharge every new pack before flying jt for the first time, to measure capacity. Then I just fly it confidently instead od landing in the middle to check the voltage. Great thing..

It discharges my 6s 5000 mAh packs to storage charge effortlessly. And the fan isn't annoyingly noisy at all which is a plus.

During charge and discharge, never leave things unattended.

I think that is in every set of instructions I’ve seen.

I have some high power dischargers that require 100% of my attention because they don't have automatic cut-off. My BD200s can be attended to without requiring 100% of my attention.

Hi folks, I'm looking for a 7S discharger, how would you compare this one with ISDT FD-200 200W 25A?

Personally I much prefer the ISDT dischargers, they automatically select cell count and shutoff voltage, which I much prefer. I bought the FD200 as soon as I saw it, and its much nicer/better to me in every way than the BD200.

capacity limit

Hi, just discharging one of my 150amps lifepo4 packs and ar the end it was showing 7000mah. Is there a count reset for amps on these device? Is quite confusing for large capacity batteries. I want to know my exact discharged value at the end.

Kareme ask why to discharge lifepo4 pack in first place.

What amps should I set it to to discharge 2s lipo? (4000mAh 50C). Voltage should be 6.4 according to first post (3.2 per cell). But when I set amps at 30 it claims it’s finished in 20 seconds. I assume the pack can’t deliver that type of amps. But seems odd as how would you know what to set it at for various packs?

If you are trying discharge the battery for storage you do not want to set it for 3.2 volts per cell. That is the minimum voltage b=that a battery should ever be discharged. For storage charge you want each cell approximately 3.8 volts per cell. In your case you would want to set the voltage at 7.6 volts. Your current depends on how fast you want to discharge the pack. If it were my 4000 mah pack I would set the current to 4 amps. That's just my thoughts. Others may have a difference of opinion.

Yes thanks. I did a bit more reading. The reason wanted to go to 3.2 is because I was wanting to test the capacity of two packs from fully charged. I found it worked at 6 amps ok, and after my post above read 1 to 2 C was ok ie 4 to 8 amps in my carse (as 4000 mAh packs). Immediately after testing I have put them back to storage voltage using my charger.
Cheers
