ILS for r/c?

I know this discussion is about AP, but I know several of you guys are into UAV type stuff too. I am building a RPV (remotely piloted vehicle) using a video downlink. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any type of Instrument Landing System for this? The ILS system seems basic enough, but I am not an engineer. If it weren't for prebuilt electronics, I would have never reached my RPV goals.
