Thread OP
Due to a family emergency I could only fly until round 4. I am on my way now to Amsterdam.

Conditions in the morning were super calm with soft thermals making low launches risky. Brady and Dick brought their A-game from NC.

Today should be more of the similar. I am sad I cannot be there .
I want to thank all of the pilots for coming to the RI contest. Your support and friendship is greatly appreciated. A special thank you for David.

Go fly today and win those gorgeous trophies. Another hat is up for grab for the lowest launch.
Looking forward to more reports.

Cheers Maarten

Most zeros where do to landing out . There where mutiple times lift just wasn't there to support a low launch and if you didn't go high game over. I also think do to such a large area it is a long ways back. The wind never got over 10 mph and only once during a big thermal that pulled everything off the field.

Good luck to y'all today.
Thanks again for the reports.
Maarten, sad to hear about the family emergency.

I am enjoying my family vacation at the beach. Part of me of course wishes I were there with y'all.

Guys, we were tough to fly in this heat so many rounds. Congratulations to all.

I flew here in Montreal (6 hours North) in similar conditions and gave up at lunch time.

I just couldn't read the air today it was up front high most of the day. I tried one to many times to go down wind like normal only finding sink. By then too late and could not make not make it work
On the way back now traffic so far so good. Stopping about half way at the super 7.5 in DE . Had a good time in will be back to take another stab at this field next year.
