Ed,

Maybe Shrederman ought to stick with the geetars...After his flying exhibition at the field today.......

Let's just say he has a cold, and maybe his balance is a little off.

Jack

So I guess he hand launched his transmitter and tried to control it by wiggling the rudder on his model?? Brian

It was the medication...... That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. When I got home, my wife told me I was a sick puppy... wonder what she meant by that?

1) Jack I'd be interested in the big bird. Been waiting for a Paramount from SoCal... but how long must one wait??

2) On topic: FWIW the .060 and .030 carbon and the kevlar tow showed up a day ago from ACP, Figured as long as I am jobless, I might as well build something. and

So, is the Hawk about to spread it's wings over Californie?

I am in the process of getting another one together and will start another as soon as this one is done. I have my Windfree lined up and would like to fly the WileyHawk and the WoodEagle as well before WC'05. I am toying with trying to get a scale ship ready. My Legionair 140 will be there as well... though it won't be a new one.

Jobless. Laided off december 7th.

I am off to the SWSA contest if it is not a blow out. Santa Ana's here are really gusting, but in the San Gabriel Valley it can be very different. Larry Jolly says a world champ, one David Robby, will be visiting us. All we need is Joe Wurts! Tough competition out in these parts.

Looks like downwind launches if it comes off at all.

Finished 28th. That may sound bad, but I was second place in novice class, and far from being dead last but finished in the over all results like my last contest. Tough air. I was luck to get a 12+ minute flight on my 3rd flight (it was an add 'em up type contest format).

World champ David Hobby got his 24 minutes on his first flight (of course!). Top three were Jolly, Hobby, and Vera. Tough competition!

SoCal, Love to get together and fly/kibtz. Name a morning you'll be out. I can shoot you my phone number if need be.

Fly off a hi start. I want to fly your Mirage.

Jack, Yes. It was either start a 3m Gnome, the 3m Mirage, or the Hawk. Figured I'd build the hawk first as it'll be unique here in SoCal. But be aware I build at a glacial pace. And at some point in the next month or two, I have to find a job, and you know what it's like when you start a new job... work work work.

Best wishes all
Jeff

I have arrived safely in Houston, after 6hr delay and re-scheduling in DFW
I can understand why you moved out of there, all that ice and snow all the time

Hawks - any flying planned soon?
