Less than 24hrs until I fly out of Glasgow. The current UK weather, 'Beast from the East', as named on national news

I just hope I make the regatta?

Afternoon Tony / Skippers
Due to the adverse weather conditions experienced in the UK and the wide cancelling of flights at Glasgow Airport, I am unable to travel to Florida. Therefore, it is with regret that I have to withdraw from the regatta. I do apologise but I am sure the event will be very well supported. It is an opportunity missed for me to meet with you all, but I am sure in the near future I will return soon. Attached are a couple of pictures from my apartment, my car is buried in the car park somewhere.

Many Regards,
John Taylor

Sorry to hear about that. You'd be more than welcome at the Rio Grande Cup in Albuquerque in April: http://dcmyc.org/NOR_RGCup_2018F.pdf

top five at RG65 Nationals

1, Calvin Obara
2, Tony Gonsalves
3, Marc Smith
4, Mike Campbell
5, Lou Rasmussen

Regatta was held in building wind conditions and some competitors were using c rig's
on a long windward leeward course. Calvin showed the fleet he meant business
winning all 11 races on Saturday with his new Scurry. Tony and his Missile made things interesting
on Sunday taking seven wins. a high level of sailing was shown by all the competitor's.

Thank once again the Sun Coast crew. They did a great job with the event and even scheduling the sun and wind. You can't ask for much more than that.

really wish more boats had shown up, but we had a lot of great skippers out there in very trying conditions. It was the first event I've ever been too where I used all three of my rigs on the same day.

So, where is 2019 NCR being Held?

I went to the class site and couldn't find any results posted. Are the results for both days posted anywhere? Along with hulls?

I'm interested in this class and just went thru the rules. I may have missed it ,but are square topped main and jibs banned?

UPDATE-just looked closely at the picture above and it appears there are a couple of boats with square tops-though fairly small. So I guess they are legal......

Any shape is allowed as long as the total area doesn't exceed 2250 sq cm. Some have sailed with single sails as well.

I attached a pdf file that will show you some different RG65 sail shapes and measurements.
