There's a thread somewhere, (should have bookmarked it), on a better shaped slot, but I did copy one of the shapes, (see picture).

It reduces the noise, and should improve the efficiency as noise is just wasted energy.

But of course, if you like noise ........

I was waiting to get the motor installed before finishing the slot. And I like some noise, I read that

Fair 'nuff. Much the same here, "Rain Festival" runs Jan. 1 - Dec. 31 annually.

its always best to maiden things on a calm day that way you know its not the wind making it fly weird. Its not the most comfortable either, right now where i am even if the sun is out as its still winter its barely above 3c and when the wind is strong its not long before you cant feel your fingers.


I dont mind the cold its the wind that really makes it horrib. if its calm the cold weather is ok.

Took your advice and recommissioned BigBird. Pillaged my Funcub for it's power, an RCX 2820-970kv. It spins a 10x5 on 6s with authority and without cooking itself.

Just waiting for weather to lighten up.

Had mine out 3 times now, loads of fun with 600+ watts of power
BigBird on 6s (6 min 14 sec)

man my largest foamie is still only sporting 350w and thats overpropped thanks for good motor colling
