No I was getting my beauty sleep. The reports that I got back was that it was surprisingly short, about 4 minutes. We were at the show about 11 hours per day on average.

$19 bucks for a battery. So I was right:

I won't be suprised if they charge 15 to 20 bucks just because it has a housing with a "DJI" name on it.

So if you want 5 packs (pretty normal amount) this makes it a rather expensive toy yes.

But I could be wrong, they might sell them at only $5 (but don't count on it yet)
All in all I like the fact that it has sensors and the software / programming option, but as far as most people here on rcgroups are more in to real RC flying.. I don't see this thing becoming very populair here at these price points.

It's going to suck for just FPV flying, the control will always be using the cellphone app, so I don't see how they can get that 100m range with it.
You probaby don't even get a solid 50 meters out of it, and latency problems won't make this a serious FPV flyer either!

This is as much as education tool as a mini quad, itís not going to satisfy the Whoop crowd or fast racers.
This will be a very easy to use, easy to fly micro with educational uses too, the DJI Flight control and the Intel Movidius systems are well beyond what a mini quad does.

It may not be for you though.

The battery looks to be in a sealed case

Unfortunately it is not. I was told it was compatible with cheaper models of goggles. I am going to see if I can get it to work.

I am interested in the quality of stills from the camera, as I am looking for a compact "selfie" drone when traveling

Hopefully Ed may be able to share some images soon but letís be honest this is a $100 flying drone, at best the camera is really not gong to be all that. I suspect They will have done a fine job though.
