OVERVIEW



The Spektrum DSMX Quad Race receiver provides a high speed serial data connection with up to 20 channels. It's small and lightweight providing an excellent receiver for even the smallest of applications. It also features Auto-Bind so you no longer need to carry a separate receiver to bind. Dual antennas provide receiver diversity for solid signal and the long coax antennas help to provide maximum signal strength in all orientations for challenging installations where carbon fiber, metal and batteries shield the antenna. And with Spektrum DSMX 2.4GHz RF protocol the Spektrum DSMX Quad Race receiver provides unsurpassed range and interference free performance for quad racing.

Most important things!

- this is a 3.3V receiver (don't feed it with 5V)

- it's a serial receiver and uses the Spektrum Satelite Protocol (don't confuse it with SBUS or SRXL)

- this receiver is the only receiver from Spektrum with auto bind (no CLI command needed)

Can you not connect it to the sbus pad as long as you can configure that uart to Spektrum? It's just a serial rx after all? Right?

That's how it connects on the vortex 230, all rx's connect on the same signal line, you only move the voltage cable to suit your rx.

It depends, the inverter that’s needed for sbus needs to able to be “turned off”, some FCs have an always inverted SBus “pad”, if that’s the case, then it won’t work.

The other thing is, the SpekPot is usually located next to or is including a 3.3V pad which is needed for those kind of “receiver/satellites”

Thanks to Chris I got pics of how he mounts his! Looks nice decased and the antenna pointing in one direction
