Looking for a Winter Project?

Esprit Model is carrying this eStar Fokker D.VIII Kit that makes a great project during the cold winter months. The construction is all balsa and ply ending up in a strong, light airframe. The kit uses Laser cut parts that fit together with little to no preparation and it comes with all the wood, scale wire landing gear and a fully illustrated instruction manual. It's a nice size scale model too with nearly a 55" wingspan and a flying weight around 3lbs. The one piece wing is designed to be removable for transport. Add in your power system and radio gear of choice and you'll have a fine looking scale model to fly. The kit costs $265.

Very nice and real wood but $264 for a basic kit? $400+ to be flight ready I would think.

I got all excited and alerted ALL my friends only to find a terrible price on this 50 something wing span!

Why O Why would I get this one, if I can get Balsa USA 80+ wing span for almost the same $$$$

Yeah I thought the price was for an arf not a kit. Monzano have the aerodrome version for $180 same wingspan.

It could of be correct. The model prop is probably much smaller than scale for the real aircraft. The props on some WWI aeroplanes were pretty big diameter.
