You should give 4-stroke engines a try. If you do you will be hooked. OS 4-strikes are good but Saito engines more popular. Last few years they have been my favorites.
As far as 2-srroke's go I agree at Rossi is probably the best but they are getting harder to find. Super Tigre is another excellent brand, they probably have the best carb in the 2-stroke world. . |

I've flown them all in over 35 years. Hands down over the years O.S engines have given me the least grief. Especially in Helicopters. Currently I fly OS 2 strokes as well as OS and Saito 4 strokes. They are all bullet proof once broken in and tuned. The commonality IMO???....I use 30% heli fuel in EVERYTHING....between the nitro and oil content they just scream! YMMV.
*** Edit*** In all fairness I do run NovaRossi in boats...but that's only because O.S. discontinued competitive marine engines. |
