New X10+ coming...

We have burned through another batch of X10+ boards. Every time we do that I threaten (in house) to make a new version that has a few extra features. This time I have done that. The original X10+ board has now been officially discontinued. We are out of stock.

The new X10+ v2 is narrower (by .200") than the original version and it will be available with either top pins or end pins. The end pin configuration (and being narrower) makes it fit in gliders much easier.

The AUX port was removed from the row of pins and placed next to the primary input port. So, both inputs are now side-by-side for dual receivers, and you can still use that AUX port as an output to give you 11 channels if you are using a single receiver.

The big change though for me was to the hardware itself. Although it looks pretty similar to the original X10+, v2 now has the ability to accept a PPM or PWM input. So, I can add PPM as another input protocol to go along with all of the others, and I can finally make this same board become a 11 channel sequencer, which I will do as a separate product. I also changed the LED to be bigger and brighter! Same programming and PC interface software as the original X10+.

These boards are in production and I hope to have them by the AMA show, the first week in January. I am going to have the first batch rushed to see if there is any way to get them before Christmas.

Here is a pic of some prototypes. Ignore the "X10PRO" name. I decided to just call it V2 instead.

Very nice , Jim .... but aren’t you violating your own policy by even “predicting “ when these might be available?????

That sort of thing is what got you in trouble 6 yrs ago with the transmitter

The new design narrow X10+ looks like a nice evolution.

for the narrow glider fuselage ,it's a very good evolution!!!!!
Good idea!
I already have 7 gliders with the "old" X10+ and RFU
but some narrow fuselage don't accept the old X10+ design .

With the new layout, will the second input port be able to provide 3.3V for Spektrum sats, or will an external regulator still be necessary for the second sat?
Sure wish you folks could make the AMA Expo East one of these days.

With the new layout, *both* of the serial input ports can be powered by the X10+, giving 3.3v for Spektrum satellite receivers. You just have to cut a trace and jumper a set of pads to do it.

It's too cold in that part of the country to attend the East event!

Does it handle the Remote Rx's the same as a Spektrum system does? Able to use whichever one(s) are pulling in valid data?

Yes, this is how the X10+ (and X24) always work.
