I'm sure if we'd had one of those it would have been at 75', Murphy's law of lost airplanes

Hire a professional tree climber. The going rate around here is $50-100.

This sucker was way out on a teenitesy limb at the top of the tree, climber couldn't get anywhere near it. Plus our regular guy passed away year before last. Only guy in town that would fetch kittens and gliders out of trees.

launch height can't fix stupid
We talked about all of this at the end of the contest. Definitely no tree climber would have been able to help out. After waiting to see that the wind would not have dislodge it, various other plans were concocted and tried out. All good. For the record they got a line over the branch, shook the crap out of it, and it still did not go anywhere. That tree did not want to let go.

I think I will start bringing a chain saw to east coast contests.

Got my flitz2 back today and all is good. Just a little ca, some fancy tape, a new battery, a little cleaning, and she is ready for prime time again. Thanks to everyone for retrieving and delivering her back to me.

Maybe bullseyes on the wing aren't such a good idea. Close, but hope not to try again.

Glad she is back in your hands

Cory so glad she made it home to you! Have speared a few grouper from 25 feet underwater with that homemade speargun, but my best shot by far was your Flitz 80 feet up in a sweetgum! I am confident she will be flying soon. Our San Felasco flyers enjoyed the challenge of retrieving her. Hope you can come fly with us again soon.

Robin
