German Indoor Aerobatics Championship 2017

The 17. International German Indoor Aerobatics Championship took place on 02.- 03. December 2017 in Nordhorn - same place as the 2013 Event. Despite some late cancelations, a total of 30 pilots from 6 Nations competed in four classes: F3P-Rookie, F3P-Sport, F3P-Expert and F3P-AeroMusicals.

Since 2009 the top ten pilots in F3P-Expert face a challenging Unknown sequence.

Full results - plus the Aresti for the Unknown - see attachments.

I also want to thank the sponsors for supporting the new F3P-Rookie class with kits & motors:

RC Factory, Donatas Pauzuolis and Sergej & Alex Glavak

That's correct! Thank you very much for sharing the plans once again!! I really appreciate that you guys want to make f3p more accessible for everyone!
Daniel and I wanted to take a photo with our Ranes but unfortunately forgot about it.

Very cool. I will let Janne and Iiro know that you like their design. They don't read the forum as often as I do.

Could you share some information of the equipment you used and the final weight? I'm just curious...

Unfortunately not in the F3P-Sport (FAI F3P-AA) class, which (hopefully ) leads the competitors to F3P-A.

Five of the seven competitors in the beginner class seem pretty young to me. Admittedly the middle class has lower percentage of young competitors. The new rise of F3P may take some time but I think you (Jürgen) have taken steps to the right direction by introducing the new rules for the beginner class.

Let's hope the next competition collects even more young pilots and some of the current have advanced to F3P-AA.

I'm going to suggest the same rules (for the beginner class) for the local competition in Finland. The 100 g limit makes sense and it is easy to achieve by just adding ballast. Maybe this encourages more people to join since everyone has chances and not just the ones with state of the art equipment.

Hi Frederik,

I will post the data sheet of the Top-Ten as usual. I am just waiting for input from Derk van der Vecht & Robin Janssen to complete the data.
