I fly electric foamies, so a somewhat better environment (less vibration and no fuel vapors). I have an i6 I have flown 2 planes with it so far. Both were flown to my limit of vision. I live on 10 acres between a couple of farms so I fly over as much as 100 acres. Probably 1000 feet in any direction. No glitches at all. So other than vibration issues, It's worth your looking at it.

This link from the i6 page on banggood gave me the i6 manual: http://img.banggood.com/images/uploa...6%20Maniac.PDF. This is specific to i6, and is a pretty good basic manual as it was put together by a guy here on RCG, I think.

I noted that banggood page also had links to all the cables.

Re the programming cable, I noticed the manual I downloaded mentioned it was included as well, but the ad on banggood showed it not there. Must have been a change, probably as you mentioned. I noted they also sell the radio without receiver. Almost too many options. I forget the price, but it's not much and free shipping, of course.

Actually they have three cables, a data cable, a simulator cable and a trainer/buddybox cable

Trainer: https://m.banggood.com/Flysky-i6-Tra...p-986742.html?

Data cable: https://m.banggood.com/FlySky-Data-C...p-982289.html?

I got the data cable, but haven't used it as the firmware on mine was the latest, and works fine. I may use it to do the 14 channel upgrade as it adds a timer function and better telemetry support.

Here's the thread where they discuss that: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...patch!/page185
This may be way beyond what your interested in (it's beyond me in how they hack and mod the firmware) but shows what guys are doing with this "cheap little entry radio".

Lastly (got oral diahreea today) I discovered that the stick knobs can be extended some, it helped me with the "size difference" vs my Pro. Nice little feature.

So far, Hobby KIng is the only place that sells the altitude sensor I have found. Banggood has some other ones like battery voltage There is a pitot tube airspeed sensor, I think Hobby King again. I haven't really done a good search myself.

It is always useful to check Banggood for something you find on hobbyking site, as it will be free shipping from bg and not free from hk.

They have both in us and global warehouses.

The 9CAP IS a module radio? Tempting, FrSky stuff is well received but a bit upscale $ from flysky. I have two F B's who use it ( one a Taranis, the other a 9xr w frisky module) . My observation is Flysky is easier to set up and use if a bit less many options.
