AB X wing on a AB C to make a better glider

Would it be possible to put a AeroBird X-treme wing on a AB Challenger? I want to turn the Challenger into a better glider that it alredy is. If I could do that with a 20 dollar wing that would be cool.

Do I have to?!
I do not have the ABX but do have the ABC and I think it could handle the ABX wing.

If the new wing is much bigger, it will be less stable in pitch. The stabilizer area will now be a lesser percentage of the wing area. You might need to add a little to it to regain the stability.

You can try it and find out. Way back when I had a Goldberg Mirage which was around 50" span 05 can motor trainer plane. For fun one day we rubber banded on a GP Spirt wing (2meter span glider wing) to it since the chords were about the same. It flew just fine with that wing also but had a better glide ratio.

To answer my own question. The wing is too long to go on.

I busted the ABC wing up pretty bad. The Hobby shop only had a commander wing in stock. I am going to try it. Maybe it will fly a little slower with it. I am going to try to fix up the busted up ABC wing still.

The commander has the same wing, but a little shorter. If anything the plane will have to fly slightly faster.

The commander wing is a little shorter but has more wing area because the wing tips are more blunt. I am heading of to the park shortly to find out.

I could not detect much of a difference. I need to improve my flying skills, three flights and killed two wings.
