The Box Says

The DJI Mavic SeriesFilter 6-Pack from Freewell is designed for offering complete daytime photography solutions.
The ND filters are made from advanced multilayered optical glass and are used to reduce the amount of light hitting the sensor, this helps to remove the abnormal ‘Jello’ effect normally seen due to the camera’s rolling shutter
The CP (circular polarized) lens is ideal for removing unnecessary glare.

The Set

When you open the box you find the filters, a lend cleaning pen and a cleaning cloth.

The filters come in a nice solid plastic carry case with foam to hold them in place, even with lots of movement with the lid open the filters remain tight in place so you don't have to worry about them falling out when you open the case quickly or in windy conditions.

Once open you will see that the kit consists of 6 filters in total that comprises of

ND8 filter
ND16
ND32
Circular Polarised (CP) Filter
ND8 Circular Polarised
ND16 Circular Polarised

The filters are extremely small, light weight and well made, the glass fitted extreme well too, the machining of the aluminium is very precise to give them a quality finish.

On the inside you can see the glass is precisely glued in place with no spillage, all excess material has been removed to make them as light as possible, around the outside there is a thin felt strip that grips the Mavic camera to hold the filters on.

To fit them to the Mavic you simply place them over the top of the existing lens and gently push them on.

Due to the foam strip they have a little resistance as they go but once fitted they still flush with the internal glass and remain tightly in place, If fitting the CP or PL filters you will need to rotate them to get the cut exactly where you want it, a tip would be to mark each filter with a dab of marker at the top where the light cuts the sky then you only need to rotate 90 degrees to get reflections off water for instance.

They sit virtually flush to the internal lens and as these are double sided multicoated it means they will also reduce lens reflections from the internal glass.

Once fitted the filter has no affect on gimbal performance, because of the cone shape there are no clearance issues at startup so you can leave them on when you change the battery or power down.

Overall this is an extremely nice filter set from FREEWELL, since using them I have found they are very lightweight, high quality and perform very well, from my test both the ND and PL performance is very good with no noticeable colour shift across any of them, ND looks even and does exactly what you want it to do, the CP with just over 1 stop of light cut is also a nice to have as well and allows you to get those sky's looking deep blue even when the sun is not strong.

The lens pen is a bonus and while the carbon end is a little large for filters this small but the brush is ideal for removing dust, and as they include the cleaning cloth you have the best of both worlds .

Costing $99 for the full set its a great deal when you add in the lifetime warranty as well so if your after for a set of quality ND filters these are well worth a look
