Aero tow / Fun fly Sat Nov. 25

All,

We are having a Aerotow This Saturday at the Grantsville flats. Mike Gibson will be towing. A Mountain man breakfast will be served at 9:00 flying starting around 10:00. Weather is suppose to be 50 at 9:00 warming to 60 + by noon. Winds at 4-5 MPH and no rain. Wid and I will be camping Friday night if anyone wishes to join us.

Feel free to bring your electrics, bungi launch, etc.

Please respond and let me know if you are coming so we can prepare enough breakfast.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Lee

Been there yesterday. Bad idea! The road was really bad, spent over an hour by cleaning the sage on sides and marking the path so I could go thru. Hope it will dry up a bit by Saturday. The flats are OK.

Just got a call from Lee--the road to the aerotow field in Grantsville might be passable, but only to 4-wheel drive (maybe).
Wid is stuck on it, trying to turn around and Lee is on his way to help.
Aerotow has been cancelled, which means the building season is about to start.

The road is passable with my Odyssey. On Wednesday, I cleaned the brush on sides and marked the path where you must cross from right to left with rocks and sticks all the way to the first ramp which is a bit steep and rough but no problem going thru. Will be there tomorrow at around 10.

That may be, but Lee Chaplin, the man in charge, has still officially cancelled it. I was just the messenger.
Enjoy your flying.

Big Mistake! The weather was nice and the road was easily passable. AJ is back in town so we were treated with some world class piloting.

Sorry I missed it. My daughter and her family came up from St George at the last minute Thankgiving day. Had a great time with the grandkids.

Will be there for the next one.
