Seems that the option for contra rotation systems is irresistible, but has anyone experience of the model's performance with the "recomended" single prop Nicolas Pietu feather motor ?

Thanks in advance

This is my first such model. That's why everything is simple.

Sorry, I know it's a few years later but why do you crumple the mylar before applying it ?

Crumpling the mylar makes it more stretchy, so it is a bit easier to put on without wrinkles.
And instead of a few big wrinkles you will get thousands of little tiny ones, which looks better.

Un-crumpled mylar can sort of rattle in flight, the crumpled stuff is less likely to.

And also the crumpled gives you something to see, as the crumples reflect light. It does not look so transparent. Better for you as a pilot and for judges too.

I realise there has been no activity here for a while but while we are talking about mylar….
Back in post #3 was a great video of how to apply mylar to a depron frame using 3M multipurpose spay adhesive 77. I don’t have enough depron or I could test myself - doesn’t this stuff eat depron? I can’t see why it doesn’t but it seems fine in the video? It says on the can it is solvent based and will eat styrofoam (that much I have tried!) so should I just go ahead and use it on depron with confidence?
