Thanks for the hint about the diff. I was able to find a pair for $9 shipped. The original ones on the VRX page are around $17 for one!

Yes, the spokes are slim, but for my purpose they will work, I guess.

There are around 4 or 5 different rims available with these tires. For example:

Is the stock ESC the one which can handle 3s too? In the manual are 3 different types of ESC's listed. H0050C can handle 3s too!

In the manual are drawings of each of the ESC's. You can see which one it is by the look!

May someone post a pic of the ESC from above, please? Possibly I will be able to name the ESC then.

Which thread size? M3, M4, M5?

Nylon spacers in the right length and diameter? Secured with UHU por?

These spacers are available in metal too!

Pics? Size comparison. What do you mean with grub screw? Is there a grub screw at the steering link?

Maybe with this "M3x10mm Female Threaded Standoff Spacer Brass Hex Coupling Nut" :

You can find different sizes. You keep the grub screw in your xtraspeed titanium link and you add an other grub screw on the other side.

Yeah, that is what I have thought about. These spacers should be available made from aluminum too! I think rounded versions too, instead of the hex!

I have a issue! First time since 10 years I would say this one is a tricky one!

I have bought a Kanyon, the crawler version of the RH1046 with locked diffs! I want to make it faster and want to install unlocked diffs, for better performance in turns!

I have ordered two diff's, and received these ones:

It looks like they would fit!

Here is the problem! The axles, front and rear, of my Kanyon fit to the locked diffs! But for the unlocked diffs the axels need a gap to fit the splint to hold the gear!
Gap for trhe splint!

Axle from the Kanyon without the gap!

I have looked at both manuals (RH1046 and Kanyon), and both axles, front same as rear, are labeled the same!

How, or where can I get the front CVD and rear axle shafts from the RH1046 to mount the unlocked diff's to my Kanyon!

If i remember well, when i locked my rear diff., is that it hasn't gap too. The rear axle is held by a "lips"/step on the other side on the axle which goes on a bearing and lock the axle in place.

EDIT : i just checked and yes, it is the "lips" on the other side of the axle which held the axle in place on the bearing.

The e-clip on those diff. isn't there to held the side gear in place in the diff. but to keep the drive cup in place (to avoid the drive cup to fall out), when on other diff. the drive cup is held by a pin which itself drive the gear.

On this kind of solid axle, it isn't possible to assemble the axle on the diff. before put the whole part in the main plastic axle. We must put the diff. inside the plastic axle first and then put the metal axle, so there is no way to put an e-clip.
