Easy As Index is now up to date

At last

Finished up with 115 "nuggets" by my reckoning, not necessarily 100% but close enough.

I'll keep it up to date as new posts of the kind it uses comes along.

A very battered bottle just washed up on my beach. Seems Gary is once again back in Sparkle which is back on the water.

Now available, the Easy As Video Indexer

[ Copy of post on Irene thread ]

Now the post index is complete I've started yet another, this time on YouTube videos.

Main reason is that while they say a picture tells a thousand words, a video can show umpteen pictures.

Not everyone has a video camera and even those that do may not be into the YouTube scene.

However, as I've processed the threads it seemed likely that videos will be more frequent and should be encouraged, not only for the benefit of those who view but to encourage the videographers to keep on keeping on.

When viewing from the link, click on the YouTube logo and you'll not only get a better view but you can give the presenter a thumbs up.

Easy Video index

Both models are now included

Getting there

I have painted the hull and now have to put the deck on. Sails will be next followed by the keel etc.
Nice work robcrusoe. I will hopefully be able to post a video when Keroloju (officially named now) goes in the water.
Pictures show where I am in the build.

Looking good Kernow..

Is Keroloju someone's name?

Be on the water before you realise it's done! Looking forward to a video.

Sloop Emma and Sloop Morgan

A few weeks ago I finished building my second Emma Sloop. When I cut the parts out for Emma #1 I also cut parts for another Emma. Therefore the second Emma Sloop went together much faster. I used some different building techniques for Emma #2 . Instead of using the PC7 epoxy fillet material that I didn't like at all (thick, stringy, messy) , I used fiberglass strips and Z poxy finishing resin. This worked well although it was more work. I also glued a 1/4 " sq strip of light balsa around the entire inside perimeter that I glued the deck to. This seals the deck water tight to the hull. Unfortunately winter has come to northern Indiana and my sailing will have to wait till we head south for the winter. Just thinking, I could install my Ice Breaker attachment to the bow and sail away LOL. The sloop Emma and sloop Morgan, named after my beautiful granddaughters, will both sail in the spring. Maybe race.
Pictures to follow

As close matched as ever possible. Pity about the enforced delay, but when it's time you'll have a ball.

Good to see the topsails employed..

Well done!!

There is an easy fix to that.

In your Easy As RCG index each of the links currently jump to displaying a single post.

For example, if you choose an item from the index like the following:
"Bow Sprit", Post#: "980", "Gary explains..."

Using "showpost" links only to that one individual post:
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=39442496&postcount=980

You could instead link using "showthread" like this:
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=39442496&postcount=980

Both links jump to the same indexed post, but "showthread" allows you to scroll up or down to see previous or subsequent posts.
