Storage of jet with jet 1A fuel for close to 1.5 years, steps to take next flt?


gosh... my jet was in storage for close to 1.5 years due to my inactive flying and not sure if there would be any hidden problems to the P20 engine or things that i could not observe in the system that might cause issues when i next fly it. Yes, while i could still change out the piping or tubings on board really not sure if im comprehensive enough when i do the long due servicing in the next couple of weeks..

I rem that i had left the fuel in the pipelines (still primed with the jet fuel) and fuel left inside the header tank when i last shut down 1.5 years ago... Any one can advise what are the precautionary actions to take before i start my p20 for the first time again after 1.5 years.. Pls help. tks.

I would defuel the jet and header tank, and then just refuel with fresh fuel. as long as your fuel valve was closed during storage it shouldnt miss a beat when starting. Have your safety equipment near by just in case. But It should be fine.

Might want to do a flush on the line from the pump to the engine, like you would do if priming the system.
