motor/battery and prop configuration... any suggestions!
Hi all... Hoping someone can help out a noob to electrics!
I'm waiting for my new GWS F4U Corsair to rock up and have been busy making sure I have everything to get this bird built and flying.
The Corsair comes with the EPS-350C-BS motor/gearbox and I'm planning to use 9.6V 8 cell AAA 650mah batteries and a new GWS ICS300 ESC.
By the looks of it the kit comes with a 9070 and a 1060 prop, plus I have a few spare 9070 props as well which I was hoping to use. How do you think this motor/gearbox setup will work with a 9070 prop?
According to the GWS website it should be safe to use a 8043 which will run at 8.9amps. 8060, 9047 & 9050 run between 10.6-12.6amps but 9070 isn't even mentioned there. Further down the list though under the EPS-350C-DS setup a 9.6v spinning a 9070 runs at 8.7amps. I'm assuming the BS/DS is different gear ratios?
Any comments would be much appreciated.
